(puzzled look on face) Are you SURE Volvos don`t have teleport
capabilities?? I could have sworn mine did.
(understanding finally penetrates extremely thick head). OH! You mean it
wasn`t Teleportation that got me from Pompey to Eastbourne in 85mins?
Then THAT was why the camera was able to *clock* my speed!! DUH! Must
have forgot to switch on the cloaking device when I left home.

I do like the idea of the shuttle craft. Though it would still be a bit
small for humans, looks more like a metallic cat basket. Perhaps it is
Spot`s personal transporter for his shore leave on Earth?...

Bye for now

'Oxford contingent'?!? Some of us baulk at *that* particular description,
you know! ;)

All in all, I think our nerves hel up pretty well. Reba and Pita were
magnificent - really lucid, interesting, informative (what else do we
expect from them?). I was a little more nervous and found that I dried up
here and there. Still, it was good fun, and it should be entertaining to
see the finished product... ;)

Ophelia was of the opinion the B7 crew would listen to David Bowie...
with that in mind, what would their favorite songs be?

Blake: "Heroes" (naturally)

Avon: "Putting Out Fire (with Gasoline)" The phrase "You wouldn't
believe what I've been through" seems so appropriate. And he complains
about being part of a rebellion, but once the leader is gone, picks up
the standard.

Gan: "Let's Dance"... It's so mainstream. :)

Travis 2: "Scarey Monsters"

Jenna: "Ashes to Ashes" or "Major Tom"

Dayna: "Glass Spider" (I think, being a motherless girl herself, she'd
be touched by the image of the baby spiders 'searching frantically for
their mother. But the Glass Spider would have long gone, knowing that
somehow, her babies would survive, on their own'.)

Suggestions on the others?

I almost didn't think of this

Soolin : "Ricochet"

hey, I *liked* the version of the RD theme! Although I agree that the
Blake's 7 theme sounds silly with the electric percussion. The guitar work
in the RD theme is quite fun to listen to.

I know it`s off topic, for which I do apologise, but can someone give me
some internet addresses etc about Forever Knight as I`d like to know
more about the series?
Thanks in advance.

I bought a CD many years ago with sci-fi themes on it and was aghast to find
that Star Trek and Battlestar Galactica had been turned into a DISCO
synth-hybrid. It's beyond me why companies do this. Many of the other
themes on this CD were the orchestral ones, yet the most popular themes
seemed to be the ones they destroyed. And to think, I ALMOST bought the
"Cult Files" CD. Thanks for the warning.

He appears in a few pics on my web page. He's in some of the Deliverance
photos, on the cover of one of Sheelagh's tapes (see 'Merchandise') and he makes
an uncredited appearance in the audience for a TV chat show in one of the
entries on Gareth's part of the page.

With a month to go my maths makes it eight ayes (including
two from the US) and two maybes for the next Pages Bar drink.
For those who've forgotten, it is on Saturday June 20th at Pages
Bar. I'll probably get there about 5.30 to 6.00pm.

For those who have never been, Pages Bar is on Page Street,
London SW1P. Nearest tubes are Pimlico and Westminster and
railway stations Charing Cross, Victoria and Waterloo are not
far away. The No 88 bus, which you can pick up near
Piccadilly Circus, goes right past the door.

Any more ayes?

cheers
