I should correct this: I recognised him near the end. Those of you
familiar with the episode know that we get the evil drug baron's profile
when he turns to use a sledgehammer on the door of the building that his
wife and Henry Crabbe are hiding in. At that moment one brain cell woke
up and wanted to know why the evil drug baron had Avon's nose. <grin> I
don't want to speculate why part of my brain finds Paul Darrow's nose
the most recognisable part of him.

When the episode was repeated, I spotted him straight away, although I
thought it was a bit cruel of the camera to focus on the back of his
head for as long as it does at one point in the story.

Maybe the "something in the cellar" theory has some merits. But I was
looking at his face when watching the episode in question. It did seem
remarkably youthful on first viewing. On second viewing, I think I might
have been influenced by some of the photos in articles for The Sevenfold
Crown. I'm not a great fan of Stephen Pacey\Tarrant (but then, is anyone
when compared to the godmother and her fellow Tarrant Nostrans?
<smile>), but some of those photos were dreadful.

Regards
Joanne

<shrug> mice suits me pretty well, too. :-)

Me, I like cats. No that's not right - I like both dogs and cats, but I'm
intrigued by cats. Unfortunately I'm uncomfortably allergic to 'em, so,
were I privileged to be adopted by one, I'd have to worship from afar. All
the duties of cat-ownee-ship, without the pleasures :(

I was idly watching the end of the previous ep when an ad for the next
week's ep popped up - and there was this naggingly familiar face. It was
the first time I'd seen Paul with his '90s face, though, and twenty years
had made a difference. I can't remember if he spoke during the ad - but
that would have clinched it :) Anyway, I made a mental note to tape the ep
the next week, and then discovered that Stephen was in another ep, which
was to be screened the following week. Woohoo!
It's Friday afternoon and I'm rambling. Must get on with some work.

Just been looking through the latest Horizon newsletter. The new
layout looks great, love the picture of PD inside back cover.

You will be pleased to know that he's lost some weight during the
Guards! Guards! run, and looks rather tasty as a result.

Phew!
Don't suppose there's any chance of an extended run of G!G!? Say, into
November? Just in the North? No? Oh, well, mustn't be greedy.
